Cabin Clubhouse

1. TL;DR

• To date our offerings have most often required people to relocate (co-living, cabin weeks)
• Local offerings are an easier ask and pair well with supper clubs
• Social clubs can be launched near major city centers where supper clubs have proven interest
  • Social clubs would allow club members to stay at a Cabin property a given # of nights per month, access it’s facilities, rent out it’s spaces, and attend or host events at the property
  • How does Citizenship integrate into Clubhouse Membership?
• Cabin’s community in Austin and the proximity of Austin to N0 provide a great pilot
• Success of this approach would give us a repeatable model for profitable growth of the network

3. Goals

• Create a replicable business model for the growth of the DAO and its properties.
  • Social club offering figured out by:
    • Testing what the market is willing to pay per month
    • Testing growth strategies
    • Experimenting with social club offerings
  • DAO funding model figured out by:
    • Determining revenue share to go from 0 → 1
      • To begin, a 50/50 revenue split between the DAO and Property LLC is proposed
        • At the end of the year, this will be analyzed for future proposal recommendations
    • Determining revenue share to go from 1 → n
      • More context is required to make this decision than what’s available at this stage
        • At the end of year 1, the clubhouse run rate will be analyzed and a revenue split going forward will be proposed
          • To ensure the DAO does not get cut out of the revenue share, the future proposed revenue share must fall between 10 and 50 percent.
            • 10% as the lower bound in the case where the DAO is no longer providing a contributor
            • 50% as the upper bound in the case where the DAO is still providing a contributor
  • All learnings will be documented and shared with the DAO at the end of the year in the form of a Clubhouse Launch Playbook, including:
    • Results from experiments
    • Full accounting breakdown
    • Recommended SOPs
    • Construction plans for rapid development of Properties
    • Clubhouse marketing materials/templates

4. Proposed Budget

For a 1 year contract, the following budget is requested:

• $93,000 USDC
• 6000 ₡ABIN

Below is a breakdown of the intended use of funds, which includes a contributor salary for Charlie at the same USD amount he was receiving through the First Fellowship, a budget for contractors as needed, and ₡ABIN for incentivizing citizen referrals and completing quests as needed.

• In addition to the USD rate Charlie was getting paid in the First Fellowship, he is requesting 300 ₡ABIN per month.
• The contractor budget would go towards hiring editors for marketing videos as needed. As videos will be uploaded to Charlie’s channel, the cost of the editors will be split 50/50 between Charlie and the contractor budget in this proposal.
