This version of the Cabin Clubhouse is not a proposal to the DAO, but is instead a writeup of an experiment that could be ran by Cabin Labs.

Not a Social Club

“Social Club” gives the idea of a space that’s primarily used for socializing (meeting new people, networking, hosting events). While that’s one of the things Neighborhood Zero is good for, it’s not what it’s best for.

We want to play to Neighborhood Zero’s strengths:

Strength What It Allows For
Relaxed Zoning Experimental Building
Immersed in Nature Mental Resets, Touching Grass, Deep Work
Wellness Spaces Mental Resets, Self Care
Communal Living Deep Connections, New Friendships

Neighborhood Zero is a Place for Deep Work

Carl Jung had a stone tower that he would retreat to for days at a time to think deeply about what would become his most celebrated work. Like Jung’s tower, one of the best things that Neighborhood Zero offers is the ability to work on your craft.

Out here there are no distractions, tools and high speed internet to facilitate work, and everything that’s good for your brain (nature, plently of sun, outdoor spa, gym, meaningful connection).

Architect David Dewane formulated the concept of a Eudaimonia Machine. It’s a building consisting of multiple chambers, each contributing towards getting occupants into a state of flow. **
